Standard or high-yield toner: which should you choose?
High-yield toner generally contains more powder and states a higher page yield than the standard version compatible with the same printer. It suits regular printing. Standard toner has a lower initial purchase price and may be sufficient for occasional use.

How do you compare cost per page?
Divide the toner price excluding VAT by its stated page yield. This estimate compares two capacities on the same basis. Actual yield varies with page coverage, printed documents and printer settings.
Estimated cost per page = price excluding VAT ÷ stated page yield.
Choose standard yield if…
- You print little or irregularly.
- You want to limit the immediate purchase budget.
- The printer is used infrequently.
Choose high yield if…
- Your print volume is regular.
- You want to reduce replacement frequency.
- The estimated cost per page is better for your usage.
A higher capacity is useful only when it is explicitly compatible with your printer. Check the product page before ordering.
